Report: St Louis Rams plan to restructure Sam Bradford deal

A report suggests that the St Louis Rams are ready to talk to quarterback Sam Bradford about restructuring his contract for the 2015 season.

The St Louis Rams are planning to restructure the contract of quarterback Sam Bradford, according to a report.

The 27-year-old has missed 25 of his side's last 32 games with two torn ACL injuries, but has also struggled to live up to expectations during his time on the field after being selected with the first-overall pick in the 2010 Draft.

Bradford is due to earn $12.985m (£8.5m) in the 2015 season, which the Rams are unwilling to pay due to the quarterback's injury problems and level of performances on the field.

The club are now poised to approach the player's representatives about restructuring the 27-year-old's deal to keep him at the club for the foreseeable future, reports The St Louis Dispatch.

Bradford has thrown for 11,065 yards along with 59 touchdowns to 38 interceptions in his five-year NFL career.
