Wigan Warriors winger Josh Charnley is ruled out of action for up to six weeks due to an ankle injury.

Wigan Warriors winger Josh Charnley has been sidelined for up to six weeks with an ankle injury.

The 23-year-old suffered the problem on Friday during his side's 13-12 win over Hull FC in Super League.

England international Charnley must wear a protective boot for the next month, though he does not require surgery.

Wigan are back in action on March 20 when they travel to Leeds Rhinos in the league.
