Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly targeting Leicester City number two goalkeeper Danny Ward, who is currently catching the eye at Euro 2020 for Wales.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly set their sights on signing Leicester City number two goalkeeper Danny Ward.

The 28-year-old has struggled for game time behind the Foxes' number one Kasper Schmeichel, and as a result has never made a Premier League appearance in his three seasons at the King Power.

However, despite his lack of first-team football in recent years, Ward has been an influential figure for Rob Page and Wales at the Euros this summer, helping them into the last 16.

Football Insider reports that Wolves are showing interest in the Welshman as current number one Rui Patricio is expected to complete a permanent move to Roma after agreeing personal terms.

Not only do Bruno Lage's new club have to replace the Portuguese keeper, but understudy John Ruddy could be departing Molineux this summer as he is yet to agree new terms with the club.

Ward has only ever made two Premier League appearances, which came for Liverpool during the 2015-16 campaign.
