Troy Deeney: 'Win over Manchester United was massive'

Watford striker Troy Deeney admits that Sunday's win over Manchester United was "massive" as they registered back-to-back victories in the Premier League.

Watford striker Troy Deeney has said that Sunday's victory over Manchester United proved that the Hornets have started to "find their feet" under Walter Mazzarri.

The Vicarage Road outfit had failed to win any of their opening three games of the season but after beating West Ham United last weekend, Watford stunned United by prevailing 3-1 in front of their own supporters.

After their exit in the second round of the EFL Cup, Watford do not play again until they travel to Burnley on September 26, and Deeney has said that he and his teammates must remain focused after registering back-to-back victories.

The 28-year-old told Sky Sports News: "We are starting to find our feet. We had the toughest start to the season with the five games that we have had but back-to-back wins in the Premier League is massive for anyone.

"For us to do that now and have a nice break now until our next match on a Monday night, we have to make sure we are ready.

"All the players and fans are happy after this weekend because I think it is the first time to beat Man United in 30 years so it was massive."

Watford now sit in ninth position in the Premier League table.
