Sunderland defender Wes Brown believes that his side need to produce the same sort of performance they had in their win over Manchester City in their clash with Stoke City on Saturday.
The Black Cats secured just their second victory of the Premier League season against Manuel Pellegrini's side to move them within three points of their relegation rivals at the foot of the table.
"Most people outside Sunderland probably thought we'd be beaten by City, but we've been training hard," Brown told the club's official website.
"We've battled on since [the away game at] Hull and got some good results.
"There's confidence in the dressing room and the lads are enjoying it. We have to go into this game trying to take it to Stoke and play as we did against City."
Brown played his first Premier League game since January 2012 against City and was instrumental in his side's win at the Stadium of Light.
