Genoa striker Giovanni Simeone has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.
While Spurs are yet to make a first-team signing this summer, they continue to be linked with additions ahead of the closure of the summer window.
According to The Mirror, Mauricio Pochettino has identified Simeone - the son of Atletico Madrid boss Diego - after he netted 12 times in Serie A last season.
It has been suggested that no formal bid has been made, but the 22-year-old appears to be an option for the North Londoners as they look to mount a Premier League title charge during the upcoming campaign.
Crystal Palace have also been credited with an interest in Simeone's signature, while the Argentine is said to have admirers in Italy's top flight in Torino and Fiorentina.
It has previously been claimed that Genoa value Simeone in the region of £17m.
