Louis van Gaal "sick" of Netherlands job

Louis van Gaal admits that he is "sick" of coaching the Netherlands amid claims that he will replace Tim Sherwood as Tottenham Hotspur manager after the World Cup.

Louis van Gaal has admitted that he is "sick" of coaching the Netherlands amid claims that he will replace Tim Sherwood as Tottenham Hotspur manager this summer.

It was reported on Monday afternoon that Spurs are ready to relieve Sherwood of his duties at the end of the season.

Van Gaal, who will leave his role with the Dutch national side after the World Cup, is among the early favourites to take charge at White Hart Lane.

The 62-year-old told Algemeen Dagblad: "After two years I'm totally sick of being national coach."

Van Gaal revealed last month that he was eager to manage a club in the Premier League.
