Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is reportedly eager to leave the club to join Real Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is said to be "desperate" to leave the club in favour of a move to Real Madrid.

The Brazil international is eager to join Los Blancos but, according to AS, feels compelled to stay in the French capital for another year to protect his image.

Neymar has spent less than 12 months at PSG since the club broke the world transfer record to sign him from Barcelona.

Real are allegedly willing to pay a staggering £307m for the 26-year-old, who is said to be seeking a return to Spain because he believes that Ligue 1 is of a lower standard.

Reports suggest that Neymar's PSG contract includes a £263m real clause, but it cannot be activated until one day after the transfer window closes on September 1.
