Gareth Bale's new deal 'worth £350,000 per week'

A report claims that Gareth Bale's new six-year Real Madrid contract makes him the highest earner at the Bernabeu on £350,000 per week after tax.

Gareth Bale's new contract at Real Madrid will reportedly see the Welshman collect £350,000 per week after tax.

On Sunday morning, Real Madrid announced that the 27-year-old had signed a new six-year contract at the Bernabeu, which will run until the summer of 2022.

According to The Guardian, Bale has now become Los Blancos' leading earner, taking him past Cristiano Ronaldo's salary of £288,000 per week after tax.

However, Ronaldo is also said to be closing in on a new contract at the Bernabeu, which will see the Portuguese return to the top of the tree at the Spanish club in terms of weekly earnings.

Bale has scored 62 times in 134 appearances for Real Madrid since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2013.
