Match preview
Mjallby have been in impressive form this season, boasting a record of seven wins, two draws and four defeats from 13 matches, which has left them in third position in the table on 23 points.
Torstensson's side are two points behind second-placed Djurgardens IF but nine from the runaway leaders Malmo, so it will be difficult for them to launch a title challenge this season.
Mjallby have won their last two league fixtures, beating Hacken 2-1 at the end of May before opening June with a 2-1 success over Varnamo, so they will be bidding to record a third straight success on Saturday.
The hosts finished down in 10th position in the Allsvenskan last season, so their form this term has been somewhat of a surprise.
Mjallby have enjoyed their recent meetings with Sirius, meanwhile, triumphing in the last four league games between the two sides, including a 3-2 success in their last clash in July 2023.
As for Sirius, the visitors also recorded an impressive win last time out, beating Norrkoping 5-1 before the recent break.
Blasvart are in their eighth straight season at this level, and they claimed eighth last term after back-to-back 11th-placed finishes in the top tier of Swedish football.
Christer Mattiasson's side have won four, drawn three and lost five of their 12 league matches this season to collect 15 points, which has left them in 10th position in the table.
Sirius are only three points behind seventh-placed Halmstad, and they will be going in search of their first victory over Mjallby since November 2021 when the two teams lock horns.
Mattiasson's side have picked up seven points from their six away league matches this season, while Mjallby have collected 14 points from their seven matches in front of their own supporters.
Team News
Mjallby will be without the services of two first-team players on Saturday, with Silas Nwankwo and Adam Petersson on the sidelines.
Head coach Torstensson could name close to the same side that started the 2-1 victory over Varnamo before the break, with the team again set to line up in a 3-4-3 formation.
Jacob Bergstrom has been in impressive form this season, scoring five times in the league, and the 29-year-old will again operate in the final third of the field.
As for Sirius, Joakim Persson is unavailable for selection due to a knee problem, but the visitors have not reported any fresh fitness concerns for the match.
Yousef Salech and Marcus Lindberg both scored twice in the team's 5-1 win over Norrkoping last time out, and the pair will operate in the final third of the field this weekend.
Salech has been in excellent form this season, netting eight times in 12 league appearances, while there will be another start for Noel Milleskog, who has struck five times in Sweden's top flight this term.
