Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes move 'not dependent on Paul Pogba'

Manchester United are reportedly keen to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes this summer, regardless of whether they sell Paul Pogba.

Manchester United will reportedly look to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes, regardless of whether they keep Paul Pogba at Old Trafford.

The France international's future at the Premier League giants remains up in the air as Real Madrid and Juventus consider whether to meet United's alleged £150m valuation.

The North-West giants have been linked with a number of players who could be perceived to be like-for-like replacements, including Sporting playmaker Fernandes.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Pogba's future being resolved one way or the other will not have any ramifications for their pursuit of Fernandes.

Another report from O Jogo suggests that Sporting want to find a resolution as they look to press ahead with their own transfer plans ahead of next season.

The Portuguese will likely receive in the region of £60m if they part ways with their most prized asset.
