Cristiano Ronaldo decides to remain at Manchester United next season despite the club's struggles, according to a report.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly decided to remain at Manchester United next season despite the widespread speculation surrounding his future in recent months.

The 37-year-old has scored 18 goals in 32 appearances for the Red Devils since his return but was unable to prevent the club from being eliminated from the Champions League in the round of 16 by Atletico Madrid.

Man United need to secure a top-four spot in the Premier League this season to earn Champions League football for next season, and there have been suggestions that Ronaldo wants to leave Old Trafford this summer, 12 months before his contract expires.

However, according to AS, the Portugal international has now decided to remain with the 20-time English champions until his contract expires in June 2023.

The report claims that Ronaldo has a 'fractured' relationship with the club's interim head coach Ralf Rangnick, but the German will step down from his role at the end of the season.

Ronaldo allegedly believes that Man United 'will get it right' with their next manager, and Ajax's Erik ten Hag appears to have emerged as the favourite for the position.

The Red Devils will not be back in action until April 2, when they will hope to give their top-four hopes in the Premier League a boost with a win over Leicester City at Old Trafford.
