Manchester United can keep pressure on Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table if they defeat Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Manchester United welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford on Saturday as they attempt to continue their winning run in the Premier League.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side have won every league fixture since their opening-day defeat to Everton, while new Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has had an inconsistent start, winning just two of his first five games of the campaign.

The former Premier League champions could boast a side with Wayne Rooney at the forefront following the striker's return to action in United's 2-1 win over Newcastle United in the League Cup last night.

Robin van Persie could team up with the England international, who is likely to be picked over the likes of Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez.

Meanwhile, Villas-Boas is expected to keep Jermain Defoe as the side's main striker, with summer signing Clint Dempsey providing support.
