Manchester United's Donny van de Beek admits that he wants to feature in more games for the Red Devils, with the 23-year-old still waiting for a Premier League start.

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has admitted that he is holding out for more starts in England following a mixed start to life at Old Trafford.

The former Ajax man has turned out eight times for the Red Devils since his arrival and featured from the first whistle in United's 5-0 thrashing of RB Leipzig, but Van de Beek is still waiting for his full Premier League debut.

United are stacked with midfield options and with competition for places rife under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Van de Beek has spoken out about his situation at Old Trafford ahead of Arsenal's trip to Manchester this weekend.

Speaking to the official Manchester United website, Van de Beek said: "Players always want to play games. Training is also nice, but the games... this is why you're playing football.

"I think a lot of games [means] we can improve always and I am sure that we will win more if we stay in the focus.

"Arsenal have showed that they have really good players, and I mean we need to be focused. We won [on Wednesday] and everybody's happy and it's good for the confidence and everything, but now we must go on to that game.

"A lot of big games are coming up now. A lot of games. We need to stay in the focus and then I'm sure that we make more nice wins."

United head into the visit of Arsenal in a strong spell of form with six wins from their last eight in all competitions, although the 20-time English champions are yet to win at home in the league this season.
