Neville Southall: 'Behaviour of Manchester United boss David Moyes stinks'

Neville Southall describes Manchester United manager David Moyes's behaviour as "despicable" following a rejected joint bid for Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini.

Former Everton goalkeeper Neville Southall has hit out at Manchester United manager David Moyes by claiming that the Scotsman's behaviour in the transfer market is "despicable".

The Premier League champions have had a joint £28m bid for Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini rejected by the Toffees, who described the offer as "derisory and insulting".

"The joint bid stinks," Southall wrote in his column for bookmakers Paddy Power. "The way David Moyes has gone about it stinks.

"The entire world knows Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines are worth a lot more than the £28m offered and Moyes is disrespecting Everton. It's really despicable behaviour towards Everton and disrespectful towards the fans."

Moyes moved to Old Trafford earlier this summer as Sir Alex Ferguson's replacement following 11 years at Goodison Park.
