Manchester City are reportedly set to target moves for two centre-backs this summer, with the future of England international John Stones in doubt.

City have struggled defensively this season, conceding 29 goals in the Premier League and falling 22 points behind leaders Liverpool.

According to The Times, Pep Guardiola has plans to bring in two new centre-backs this summer, with Stones and Leroy Sane both linked with moves away.

Guardiola is said to be concerned with the number of goals that City have conceded this season and fears they failed to replace Vincent Kompany.

Aymeric Laporte also spent a large spell on the sidelines this season, with the Spanish coach forced to field both Fernandinho and Rodri as auxiliary defenders.

Stones was linked with a move to Arsenal during the January transfer window and the former Everton man failed to make the City squad for the match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
