Manchester City's David Silva ruled out of Crystal Palace trip with ankle knock

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini confirms that David Silva will miss this weekend's match against Crystal Palace with an ankle injury.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that David Silva will miss Saturday's match against Crystal Palace due to an ankle injury.

The 29-year-old suffered a knock while on international duty with Spain last week, but Pellegrini has claimed that the midfielder will not face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

"Silva is out as I think it would be a risk for him to take another knock on his ankle," Pellegrini said in a press conference. "I hope he will be okay for Juventus."

Meanwhile, Bacary Sagna has been declared fit for the encounter after limping off the field in France's 2-1 victory over Serbia.
