Half-Time Report: Hull City frustrate Manchester City

Manchester City go in goalless at half time against Hull City in today's early Premier League kickoff.

Hull City have given a good account of themselves during the first half against Manchester City, going in goalless at the break.

The visitors almost took the lead early on and have restricted City to very few efforts on target.

A frantic start to the half could have seen both teams concede more than one goal. First, a mix-up in the City defence allowed Robert Koren space but his pass failed to find Sone Aluko, and then Aluko missed a one-on-one chance, scuffing wide after beating the defence.

Hull goalkeeper Allan McGregor was then called into action from Aleksandr Kolarov and Joleon Lescott in quick succession, before the offside flag denied Danny Graham the opening goal for the away side.

The visitors almost took the lead again just after that, but Koren's volley went inches wide, before City started to take control of the match.

David Silva started to find more and more space around the Hull penalty area, but was unable to find his teammates with a series of crosses and through-balls, allowing Hull to stay level at the break.
