Report: Fabio Borini prefers loan move to Sunderland

A report suggests that Liverpool forward Fabio Borini is willing to move to Sunderland this season, but only on loan.

Liverpool forward Fabio Borini is reportedly willing to join Sunderland, but only on a loan move until the end of the season.

The Black Cats had a £14m bid accepted for the 23-year-old last month, but the striker has stalled over a decision whether to make the permanent transfer to the Stadium of Light.

Gus Poyet believes that the transfer has gone on for long enough and wants an answer one way or another from the Italian.

Borini is keen for Liverpool to allow him to join Sunderland again for the season following his successful spell in the last campaign as his first-team opportunities at Anfield will be limited, reports The Mirror.

The 23-year-old scored 10 goals in all competitions for the Black Cats last season.
