Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that his team have not yet performed at their "100%" best this season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that his team have not yet performed at their 100% best this season.

The Reds are currently third in the Premier League table, level on points with Manchester City and Arsenal, who sit first and second respectively.

The Merseyside outfit's potential as title challengers has been boosted following an unbeaten run of seven games, and wins over Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as draws with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Despite a handful of dominant performances, Klopp has claimed that his team are far from perfect at the moment.

"We need to get better. Nothing we have done so far has come close to 100%," the Liverpool Echo quotes Klopp as saying.

"Nobody in the dressing room feels that it's not possible for us to play better. At Swansea in the first half, we were far away from the rhythm. Burnley wasn't good, Man United wasn't good.

"A lot of people said the last 10 minutes against West Brom could have been better and I'm sure it could have been. My job is to use the qualities of the players and show them the right way. We are on the way. We have to accept a few things that don't work. There are a lot of things to think about."

Liverpool will switch their attention to the EFL Cup tomorrow as they prepare to take on Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
