Leeds United are reportedly considering a move for Leicester City centre-back Conor Coady ahead of the summer transfer window.

Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City defender Conor Coady over the summer.

The former England international was heading towards an East Midlands exit during the latter stages of the January transfer window before a deal failed to materialise.

Coady was set to be involved in a defender swap deal between Leicester and Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Craig Dawson moving the other way across the Midlands.

Since that unsuccessful deal, the centre-back has failed to play a single minute for Ruud van Nistelrooy's side in either the Premier League or FA Cup.

Having moved from Wolves to Leicester over 18 months ago, Coady has played on 31 occasions across all competitions, scoring just the one goal.

Leeds considering summer swoop for Coady?

According to TEAMtalk, Coady could be concluding his stay at the King Power Stadium after just two campaigns as he searches for regular football.

The report claims that Premier League-chasing Leeds are considering a move for the 10-time international ahead of the summer transfer window.

It is currently unclear whether Daniel Farke's side would make a bid for Coady if they managed to secure promotion to the top flight this term.

Leeds are occupying second spot in the Championship standings at this stage, four points ahead of third-placed Burnley, who have played a game more.

The Yorkshire Whites will be looking to take a massive step towards automatic promotion as they face contenders Sunderland at Elland Road on Monday night.

Leeds' centre-back options

With Pascal Struijk battling injury at the start of the calendar year, Leeds have turned to a well-acquainted duo to sit at the heart of the backline recently.

A Welsh wall of Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon has performed admirably for the Whites as they look to secure a return to the Premier League at the second time of asking.

Maximilian Wober is also an option for Farke in defence, although the Austrian has played just six times in the Championship this term, largely down to injury.
