Juventus director Pavel Nedved has insisted that the club have no concerns over Carlos Tevez's desire to play at the highest level.
Tevez conceded earlier this week that he considered retirement before joining the Old Lady, citing tiredness after seven seasons in the Premier League.
Nedved believes that the Argentine forward has shown nothing but enthusiasm since reporting for pre-season training with Juve, as the Bianconeri bid for a third successive Serie A crown.
"We talked to Carlos a long time ago. He still has a lot of desire to play football and to do well," Football Italia quotes him as saying.
"You can see that enthusiasm in the way he has been training with us. Great players, once they have won a lot, need new motivation, new targets and I am happy that he has arrived.
"He instantly demonstrated that he wanted to join us and I liked that a lot."
The 29-year-old will wear the number 10 shirt for Juve, becoming the first player to be given that squad number since Alessandro del Piero left last summer.
