Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has been ruled out of his side's Champions League final with Barcelona this weekend.
The 30-year-old had picked up a calf problem during a training session on Wednesday and subsequent scans have shown that he will be unable to recover in time for the match on Saturday evening.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Giorgio Chiellini did not take part in training following the calf discomfort during Wednesday's session.
"The tests showed a lesion of the soleus muscle of his left leg, so the defender will not be available for the match against Barcelona."
Chiellini has spent the past 10 years at Juventus and has helped the club to win four Serie A titles.
