Javier Zanetti insists the Inter Milan squad are behind under-pressure boss Claudio Ranieri.

Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti has backed his under-fire coach Claudio Ranieri after a run of five defeats in six games.

Relegation candidates Bologna embarrassed Inter on Friday night with a 3-0 win at the San Siro.

The Italian giants have taken just one point from a possible 15, whilst failing to score in five of their last six games. Inter president Massimo Moratti stormed out halfway through the second period, seemingly unhappy with the performance.

Zanetti, who lifted the Champions League for Inter two years ago, insists the team are behind the former Chelsea boss.

"It's a difficult moment, we haven't managed to get a result in the last few games," said the veteran Argentine.

"This can happen and it's up to us to pull ourselves out of it and try to start again calmly.

"There's no doubt that there is synchronism between the team and the coach. We're all together, we're working hard to do our best but after many years of success, this is a difficult moment."

Inter travel to Marseille in the Champions League on Wednesday and then face Napoli in Serie A next weekend.
