Hull City earned their first win in the Premier League since the opening day of the season by claiming a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
Mohamed Diame headed the Tigers into the lead on the hour mark, before Nikica Jelavic raced through to slot home a second late on.

Goal
Steve Harper: Had just one save to make all afternoon, but did well to turn Bolasie's powerful effort over the bar. Showed confidence when coming to claim from set piece situations and dominated his area. (6/10)
Defence
James Chester: Solid performance on his return to the starting lineup. Made a number of important challenges and used possession well. (7/10)
Curtis Davies: Commanding display from the defender. Palace's forwards never got in behind him all afternoon. (7/10)
Michael Dawson: Towering presence at the centre of the Hull defence. Never lost a challenge in the air and stopped the opposition from posing a threat. (7/10)
Andrew Robertson: Set up the opening goal for Diame with an inch-perfect cross. Got up and down the left well all afternoon and delivered a number of other dangerous balls into the box. (7/10)
Midfield
Ahmed Elmohamady: Was the standout player on the pitch. Played in a number of brilliant crosses that his team should have profited from. Dominated his flank and worked tirelessly all afternoon. (8/10)
Mohamed Diame: Another positive showing from the Senegal international, who has scored three goals in his first four games for Hull. His headed effort set his team on their way to a win and he was a powerful presence in the midfield. (7/10)
Jake Livermore: Decent performance by the former Spurs man. Picked up a booking and did not have a major influence, but played a fine through-ball to Jelavic for Hull's second goal. (6/10)
Tom Huddlestone: Did not exert his usual influence on the match. He was reliable in possession of the ball, but his deliveries from set pieces was poor. (6/10)
Attack
Abel Hernandez: Not the best of displays from the Uruguayan, who did not have many chances on goal. He put a couple of efforts wide in the first half, but struggled after the break and was replaced late on. (6/10)
Nikica Jelavic: Had two great chances to score for Hull in the first half, but headed wide on each occasion. However, he made up for those misses with a well-taken goal in the closing stages that made sure of the three points. (7/10)
Substitutes
Liam Rosenior: Came on for Robertson in the final 10 minutes and helped to shore up the defence. Cleared an effort from Delaney off the line in stoppage time. (6/10)
Alex Bruce: Replaced Elmohamady in stoppage time and could not make an impact. (6/10)
Gaston Ramirez: Was brought on for Hernandez and held the ball up well for Hull as they looked to see out the match. (6/10)

Goal
Julian Speroni: Did not have much to do, but Hull scored from their only two shots on target. He could have done very little about each goal and was otherwise largely untested. (6/10)
Defence
Joel Ward: Struggled to deal with the pace of Elmohamady on his flank and constantly allowed the Egyptian to whip in dangerous crosses. (5/10)
Scott Dann: Stretchered off the pitch early on after blocking a powerful strike from Huddlestone. (6/10)
Damien Delaney: Had a decent game at the back and kept Hernandez and Jelavic quiet for most of the afternoon. (6/10)
Martin Kelly: Helped to keep Hull's attack quiet for long periods of the game, but could have dealt better with the goals they conceded. (6/10)
Midfield
Mile Jedinak: Struggled to make an impact on the match. Had a chance from a free kick early on, but could only place his effort over the bar. (6/10)
James McArthur: Ineffective showing from the Scottish international. Was replaced by Gayle as Palace searched for an equaliser. (6/10)
Joe Ledley: Lost the ball far too often for Palace and struggled to impose himself on the match. (5/10)
Attack
Yannick Bolasie: Had some good moments for the visitors, but his final ball let him down all too often. His long-range strike was one of two efforts on target from Palace all afternoon. (6/10)
Frazier Campbell: Struggled to get into the match. Was not given much support by his teammates and was replaced by Chamakh just after the hour mark. (5/10)
Jason Puncheon: Not the best of games from the winger. Had a few chances on goal, but each time he failed to find the target and wasted possession throughout. (5/10)
Substitutes
Adrian Mariappa: Replaced Dann early on and did not enjoy the best of games on the right. Failed to deal with the threat of Robertson and perhaps should have closed him down quicker for the opening goal. (6/10)
Marouane Chamakh: Came on just after his side fell behind, but did not have any chances to test Harper. (6/10)
Dwight Gayle: Was brought on for the final nine minutes, but did not see much of the ball. (6/10)
