Rafael van der Vaart targets Borussia Dortmund fitness

Rafael van der Vaart hopes that he will be fit to face Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

Hamburger SV attacking midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has admitted that he is targeting a return to fitness in time for the weekend's clash against Borussia Dortmund.

Van der Vaart said that he has started to train at full capacity following his injury, which should see him get straight back into the squad for Saturday.

"I feel good," Bundesliga.com quotes him as saying. "The training game was important and went well, and I'll be training with the team as normal again.

"If everything progresses smoothly, hopefully I'll play at the weekend."

Van der Vaart picked up his injury on international duty with the Netherlands.
