Everton 'table bid for Bosnia World Cup star Muhamed Besic'

Everton are said to be on the verge of signing Ferencvaros midfielder Muhamed Besic.

Everton have reportedly lodged a £4m bid for Bosnia World Cup star Muhamed Besic.

The midfielder will complete his move to Goodison Park from Hungarian club Ferencvaros in the next 24 hours, according to The Mirror.

Besic, who started his senior career in Germany with Hamburg, has earned 12 international caps for Bosnia-Herzegovina and was one of the national team's standout players during Brazil 2014.

The news follows confirmation that Everton have signed veteran midfielder Gareth Barry on a permanent contract, handing a three-year deal to the former England international.
