Roberto Martinez hails "exciting" Everton midfield

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that his side has an "exciting" group of midfielders to take to the Emirates to face Arsenal in the Premier League.

Roberto Martinez has described Everton's midfield as "exciting" ahead of the team's match against Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend.

Gareth Barry will return from suspension to leave the Toffees with all their regularly-featured midfielders available for the trip to the Emirates.

The manager told the club's website: "We have an exciting group of midfield players. It is exactly what we need now because we need good numbers and good quality.

"You can imagine how delighted we are to have that good mixture, with the experience of Gareth Barry and Darron Gibson and then players like James McCarthy, Mo Besic and Ross Barkley.

"I think Darron has been fantastic. His impact against Leicester was very important, but then his 90 minutes against Young Boys showcased his quite unique play-making ability."

Everton sit 12th in the table ahead of tomorrow's clash.
