Everton boss Sean Dyche reveals that Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Nathan Patterson will miss Sunday's home meeting with Bournemouth.

Everton boss Sean Dyche has confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Nathan Patterson will miss the club's relegation decider against Bournemouth on Sunday.

With one game left to play in the 2022-23 season, Everton are at risk of being relegated from the top flight for the first time since 1951.

Sitting two points clear of the drop zone, Everton have their destiny in their own hands, and they know that a win will guarantee their survival.

However, if they fail to claim all three points at Goodison Park then they will be left to rely on results elsewhere.

Everton will be unable to call upon Calvert-Lewin and Patterson, who were both forced off in the first half in the 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

Speaking about the pair in his pre-match press conference, Dyche said: "They won't be fit. We haven't had Dom for two-thirds of my time here. We have still won games, still got points on the board and performed.

"We realised when he got injured in the first game that it wasn't going to be a short injury. We knew we would have to find a way of working with that. We have found that way and it's important we do that.

"Patto has come into the side more latterly and performed well. We lose him as well."

With Patterson and Seamus Coleman unavailable, Everton will go into Sunday's contest without their two senior right-back options.

On the opposite side of the Everton defence, there are also concerns over the availability of Vitaliy Mykolenko, who has missed the last two matches with a groin problem.

Commenting on Mykolenko's injury status, Dyche added: "He's a bit better so we will see how he reacts tomorrow to training today."

Andros Townsend is making progress in his recovery from a long-term injury, but he is likely to remain sidelined alongside Ben Godfrey, Ruben Vinagre and Tom Davies.

After being ineligible to face his parent club last week, Wolves loanee Conor Coady will be available for selection.
