Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni "gutted" by Hull City defeat

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni admits that he is "gutted" after the team's 2-0 defeat at home to Hull.

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni has revealed that he and his teammates are "gutted" following their defeat to Hull City.

The Eagles lost their second consecutive Premier League game at Selhurst Park on Saturday as they were beaten 2-0 by the Tigers.

Despite admitting his disappointment at the result, Speroni is hopeful that Palace can enjoy a strong finish to the season.

"It's a really disappointing result and everyone is gutted with it," he told the club's official website. "It doesn't matter if you make one, two or three saves in a game, if you lose it it's a frustrating day.

"It's hard to explain why we've struggled at home lately, sometimes these things happen and it is tough playing in the Premier League as there are no easy games but we need to make sure we put things right next week."

Palace have the chance to end their losing run on May 3 when they make the trip to Chelsea.
