Mile Jedinak reflects on "massive win" over Liverpool

Captain Mile Jedinak admits that Crystal Palace's 3-1 Premier League win over Liverpool was much needed following a run of five straight matches without victory.

Mile Jedinak has stressed the importance of Crystal Palace's 3-1 win over Liverpool at Selhurst Park this afternoon.

The Eagles fell behind early on to a strike from Liverpool frontman Rickie Lambert, but goals from Dwight Gayle, Joe Ledley and Jedinak secured a comeback victory.

It ended a run of five straight matches without a win for Palace - and Australian midfielder Jedinak admitted that the result was "massive" for the club.

"It's a massive win and we needed that big time. The boys knew it was going to be a difficult game but they were first class," the captain told Sky Sports News.

"We've been thrown different obstacles this season and to lose a goal so early we could have just put our heads down, but the positivity, the fight and the willingness was first class and I can't thank all the boys enough for really digging in in a tough game."

Jedinak's goal took his tally for the season to four in the Premier League.
