Report: Chelsea want Matt Miazga

A report claims that Chelsea head the queue for New York Red Bulls' 20-year-old centre-back Matt Miazga.

Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga with a view to a move in the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Red Bulls in 2009, is fast closing on 50 first-team league appearances for his MLS club.

A number of clubs have been linked with a move for the powerful centre-back, but according to FourFourTwo, it is Chelsea that currently head the queue.

Miazga, who has represented both Poland and United States at youth level, won the MLS Supporters Shield with his current club in both 2013 and 2015.

Chelsea are expected to boost their back four when the winter window opens at the start of 2016.
