Inter Milan have reportedly rejoined the race to sign Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud.
The Italian giants had allegedly dropped their interest in the France international to pursue a move for Napoli's Fernando Llorente before the end of the January transfer window.
However, according to Sky Italia, a loan approach for the former Tottenham Hotspur striker has broken down as Gennaro Gattuso's side have decided against sanctioning his exit.
The report claims that Inter will now reignite their interest in Giroud, who will see his contract at Stamford Bridge expire at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
The 2018 World Cup winner has only made five Premier League appearances for the Blues this season and has not even made the squad for a league fixture since the start of December.
Antonio Conte's side could face competition from Barcelona, though, with the Spanish champions reportedly weighing up a swoop before the end of the month.
