Chelsea are reportedly considering ending Ethan Ampadu's loan spell at RB Leipzig early due to a lack of first-team football for the youngster so far this season.
The 19-year-old has made only five appearances for the Bundesliga leaders since joining in the summer, while he is also understood to have fallen out with Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick recently.
Reports suggest that Rangnick was angered by a group of players flying in a celebrity barber prior to their defeat at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend, with Ampadu one of those to fall foul of the manager's ire.
Football Insider claims that Chelsea are weighing up the possibility of recalling Ampadu from his loan spell and sending him to Bristol City instead.
The Championship playoff chasers are in the market for a new midfielder after selling captain Josh Brownhill to Burnley yesterday and have until 11pm today to push through a transfer.
Bristol City currently sit sixth in the Championship table, one point clear of seventh place.
