Thibaut Courtois thanks Atletico Madrid

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois thanks Atletico Madrid after returning to Stamford Bridge following his three-year loan spell.

Thibaut Courtois has thanked Atletico Madrid following his return to Chelsea.

The Belgium international goalkeeper spent the last three years at Atleti and won the 2013 Copa del Rey, before emerging triumphant in last season's La Liga title race.

Upon his return to Stamford Bridge, the keeper issued a video reflecting on his time in the Spanish capital.

He said: "It was wonderful to play for Atletico. I've experienced some fantastic moments and I've won lots of titles. Atleti will always be in my heart. Thank you for all of the trust you have shown in me by making me part of this squad.

"I also want to say a special thanks to the entire squad; to the teammates I've been with for these three years. I'm proud to have spent the last three years with them.

"We've been part of a group that has experienced some wonderful times The truth is that it was fantastic and you will always be in my heart."

Meanwhile, current Chelsea number one Petr Cech has insisted that he won't be replaced without a fight.
