Norwich City manager Alex Neil critical of "wrong decisions" in Chelsea defeat

Alex Neil criticises Craig Pawson after the referee failed to award Norwich City a penalty in their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Norwich City manager Alex Neil has said that a penalty decision in Norwich City's 1-0 loss to Chelsea this afternoon "changed the game".

Robbie Brady tumbled under a challenge from Willian after half an hour, but Craig Pawson waved away Norwich's appeals.

After the final whistle, Neil told the club's official website that he thought Pawson made "the wrong decision".

He said: "Chelsea had opportunities in the game, but we seem to be on the wrong end of decisions at times.

"If we got a penalty, we could have gone a goal up and it would have changed the game."

However, Neil also criticised his side for a lapse in concentration which allowed Diego Costa to net the only goal of the game.

He said: "The gameplan that we came with worked well, but we switched off at a free kick and it cost us."

The result leaves Norwich City in 16th place in the Premier League.
