Preview: Charlton Athletic vs. Bolton Wanderers

Sports Mole peers ahead to the Championship match on Tuesday as Neil Lennon tries to continue his 100% start as Bolton manager at Charlton.

Neil Lennon can continue his 100% start as Bolton Wanderers manager if his side beat Charlton Athletic at The Valley on Tuesday night.

Lennon's first game in charge was also on the road, at Birmingham City, and he guided the Trotters to their first away points of the season with a 1-0 triumph at St Andrew's.

Bolton are still in the bottom three, but they no longer prop up the rest as Blackpool suffered defeat yesterday and now lie bottom.

Lennon is likely to go with the same XI that impressed on Saturday and ended a four-game losing streak for the Trotters.

Charlton return home after having their 11-game unbeaten start to the season ended at Bournemouth, who edged them out by a single goal on the South coast.

Despite the defeat and the fact that they have won just once in their last six games, the Addicks are still just five points off the top of the table in eighth place.

Bob Peeters might have to make do without top scorer Igor Vetokele on Tuesday after the Belgian was forced off at half time against Bournemouth. Youngster Karlan Ahearne-Grant made his full debut against the Cherries and could start again given Vetokele's possible absence.

Johnnie Jackson also came off after 45 minutes, but that was purely for tactical reasons.

Both matches between these sides finished as draws last season, with the most recent meeting a scoreless stalemate at The Valley back in April.
