Napoli fought back after that, with Gonzalo Higuain seeing his effort saved by Vlada Avramov. However, it was 1-1 shortly after when the Argentine striker converted from the penalty spot after a foul by Astori.
Blerim Dzemaili had a shot blocked, before Higuain fired over the bar from Christian Maggio's cross.
Radja Nainggolan saw a powerful right-footed effort saved by Pepe Reina, but the goalkeeper was taken off with a hamstring injury and was replaced by Rafael.

Napoli's Jose Callejon thought that he had given his team the lead after picking up the rebound from a free kick, but a number of players were in offside positions.
Rafael kept out Marco Sau's shot with just two minutes remaining as neither side could find a winner.
