Relegation-threatened Bristol Rovers lead title-chasers Rochdale 1-0 at the interval of their League Two clash at the Memorial Stadium.
It proved to be a busy opening five minutes for Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall, with the experienced stopper called into action to deny Peter Vicenti twice in quick succession.
The home side took the lead after 17 minutes, however, when Kaid Mohamed found some space inside the box before rolling his effort into the back of the net via the post.
Michael Rose had a half-chance for Rochdale moments later, but his free kick whistled wide of the post, before Ollie Clarke struck one wide of the goal down the other end.
Matt Harrold also came close for the home side in the latter stages of the half, but Josh Lillis was on hand to make the save.
Ian Henderson had Rochdale's best chance of the half after 37 minutes, but his effort rattled the post.
As it stands, the home side are three points clear of the relegation zone, while Rochdale remain two points from the summit.
