Team News: Mats Hummels returns for Borussia Dortmund, Marco Reus misses out

Mats Hummels returns to the Borussia Dortmund side for the visit of Borussia Monchengladbach, but Marco Reus misses out again.

Borussia Dortmund have welcomed back Mats Hummels for the meeting with Borussia Monchengladbach this afternoon, but Marco Reus misses out once again due to injury.

Both players were absent for the DFB-Pokal victory over Hoffenheim in midweek, and although Hummels has managed to shake off a thigh problem, Reus continues his battle with an adductor injury.

The return of Hummels will see Sokratis Papastathopoulos move to right-back, while Jurgen Klopp has decided to hand a recall to Sebastian Kehl in midfield.

Raffael is back in the Gladbach attack alongside Max Kruse, but there is no place in the side for Thorgan Hazard, who starts on the bench.

Fabian Johnson is preferred to the Belgian as he joins Patrick Herrmann in providing support for the front two.

Monchengladbach:Sommer; Jantschke, Brouwers, Dominguez, Wendt; Nordtveit, Xhaka; Herrmann, Johnson; Raffael, Kruse

Dortmund: Weidenfeller; Sokratis, Hummels, Subotic, Schmelzer; Kehl, Gundogan; Blaszczykowski, Kagawa, Mkhitaryan; Aubameyang
