Barnsley boss David Flitcroft suggests that he is nearing a move for a new striker.

Barnsley manager David Flitcroft has hinted that he is close to signing a new striker.

The Tykes have failed to score in their opening two Championship fixtures this season, losing both matches to Wigan Athletic and Blackpool respectively.

"We've a few issues, but we'll work hard," Flitcroft is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We need a finisher. It's hotting up this last week, it's been manic behind the scenes. We need one, possibly two."

Barnsley return to league action on Saturday when they welcome Charlton Athletic to Oakwell.
