Chelsea 'resume talks with Atletico Madrid' over capture of Filipe Luis

Chelsea resume talks with Atletico Madrid over a deal to bring Filipe Luis to Stamford Bridge, a report suggests.

Chelsea have reportedly resumed talks with Atletico Madrid over the signing of defender Filipe Luis.

The Brazilian left-back played a key part in Los Rojiblancos' La Liga title success last season, leading to reports that he could make a move away from the Vicente Calderon this summer.

Luis recently revealed that he has no immediate plans to leave Atletico, but The Guardian reports that Chelsea see the 28-year-old as an ideal replacement for the departing Ashley Cole.

The same report suggests that Blues manager Jose Mourinho is also hoping to bring Luis's teammate, Tiago, to Stamford Bridge, while a move for Diego Costa is also said to have been completed.
