Filipe Luis: 'No plans to leave Atletico Madrid in summer'

Filipe Luis insists that he has no intention of leaving Atletico Madrid this summer.

Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis has insisted that he has no plans to leave the club this summer.

Luis played a key role as Atletico were crowned champions in Spain, before falling just short of a historic double when they were beaten by Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday evening.

The 28-year-old's form has seen him linked with a move to Chelsea, but he is fully committed to delivering more success for his current employers.

"I have a contract for three more years," Luis told O Globo. "My thought is to continue.

"We have to lift our heads high after the Champions League final defeat and think about the next goal."

Luis joined the club from Deportivo La Coruna in 2010.
