Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira insists that he is "happy" at the Emirates Stadium amid reports of a potential exit.

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has insisted that he is "happy" at the Emirates Stadium and has not been in discussions with AC Milan over a potential switch to the Italian giants.

Torreira has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A in recent weeks, having previously admitted that he prefers living in Italy over England.

The 23-year-old was reportedly prepared to force a move to Milan this summer amid suggestions that the Italian giants were interested in a swoop.

However, the Uruguay international has played down suggestions that he is unhappy with life at Arsenal.

"Nobody from AC Milan has got in touch with me, today I'm in the Premier and happy to be part of the Arsenal. It cost me, the adaptation. It's not easy, but I only think about the team. I'm happy to be there," Torreira told reporters.

The Gunners are said to value the former Sampdoria midfielder in the region of £45m.
