Liverpool could reportedly attempt to strike a deal for Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey as they prepare for the inevitable departure of Georginio Wijnaldum.
While reports claiming that Barcelona had agreed a pre-contract deal with Wijnaldum are believed to be incorrect, the Reds are supposedly resigned to losing their midfield lynchpin when his deal runs out this summer.
With Wijnaldum being one of the first names on the teamsheet for Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager will prioritise a move for a new central midfielder if the Dutchman does indeed head to Barcelona to reunite with Ronald Koeman.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Ramsey's future at Juventus is not guaranteed, and the Reds are contemplating a move for the former Arsenal man given his Premier League experience.
Ramsey has blown hot and cold since arriving in Turin in 2019, and despite boasting two goals and five assists from 18 Serie A appearances this term, his time with the Italian champions has been blighted by injuries.
However, a return to the Emirates Stadium for Ramsey has not been ruled out, while West Ham United are also believed to be monitoring the situation.
