Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain praises Steve Bould's impact at Arsenal.

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has said that Steve Bould has already had a massive impact on the squad.

Bould, who won numerous title as a player with the Gunners and was a member of the club's famous back four in the '90s, was appointed as the North London outfit's new assistant manager during the summer following Pat Rice's retirement.

Arsenal have yet to concede a goal this season and Oxlade-Chamberlain thinks that Bould deserves to take a lot of credit for this achievement.

"Steve's come in and filled the spot really well," said Oxlade-Chamberlain.

"He's got respect from the lads as a good defender for Arsenal, and a good personality. He's old-school, funny. The lads enjoy that.

"He's stamped his mark on the whole team. At Arsenal we have a lot of the ball and we get carried away when teams sit in, and we are easily countered, but we've nailed that down this season. The flair play is in our DNA but Steve has come in and everybody's bought into it."

Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently away on international duty with England.
