Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira is hopeful that Wilfried Zaha will be able to overcome the hamstring injury he picked up during the international break.

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has provided an injury update on Wilfried Zaha ahead of their Premier League fixture against Arsenal.

The Eagles return to action following the international break on Monday, but it was during the recent friendlies that the winger suffered a hamstring issue.

Zaha was unavailable to play against England earlier this week after picking up the problem during Ivory Coast's previous match with France.

"He is still in the medical room and we will see how he is tomorrow. We have until Monday so hopefully, he will get better and he can have a couple of training sessions with the team," Vieira told the press.

"But we have to wait and see how he is tomorrow and what happens over the next couple of days. We do not know if it is a long-term problem, but the good thing about Wilfried is that he does not get injured too often."

The 29-year-old has been a regular in Vieira's team this season, playing in 24 of their 29 Premier League games, scoring nine goals.
