Arsenal, Barcelona slip down UEFA club rankings

Arsenal and Barcelona slip down UEFA's club rankings following their starts to their Champions League campaigns.

Arsenal and Barcelona have both fallen down the UEFA club rankings following slow starts to their Champions League campaigns.

The Gunners are yet to register a point after defeats to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos, and have slipped to 10th behind Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus as a result.

Barca, meanwhile, beat Bayer Leverkusen on matchday two, but their draw with Roma during the opening week of games has seen them drop to third, with Bayern Munich overtaking them in second.

The rankings are based on performance in European competition over the past five seasons, and determine the seedings for both the Champions League and Europa League draws,

Real Madrid lead the way after taking maximum points in the group stage so far, while Chelsea are the highest ranked English club in fourth.

Manchester City and Manchester United are ranked 17th and 20th respectively.
