Rudy Gay has scored 26 points on his home debut to help the Sacramento Kings to a 106-91 victory over the Houston Rockets at the Sleep Train Arena.
Gay's score means that he has now achieved a combined 50 points from his first two games for the side, with the veteran wing now on 56% shooting for the Kings.
Other important contributions for the hosts came from DeMarcus Cousins, who grabbed 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Isaiah Thomas ended with an industrious 19 points and eight assists.
The result might have been different for the Rockets had James Harden – who scored 25 points in 33 minutes – not gone down in the third quarter with a left ankle injury.
The Kings are fifth in the Pacific Division with a record of 7-15 so far for the season.
