United States skier Bode Miller has revealed that he was delighted to win a bronze medal in the super-G at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
The 36-year-old recorded a time of one minute 18.67 seconds to secure his medal, while Norway's Kjetil Jansrud and his USA teammate Andrew Weibrecht finished first and second place respectively.
"It's not so much about the skiing, it's about everything else," Miller told BBC Sport.
"It's been a hard year. I feel really lucky to have come out with a medal. I skied hard but it wasn't about that - it came down to luck.
"I'm very fortunate. I'm just really happy to have got on the right side of the numbers."
Miller's medal in Sochi is the sixth Olympic medal of his career.
